It is time for us bus riders to be heard. A decade of transit service cuts has left us unable to access a significant portion of family supporting jobs in Milwaukee and the surrounding area.
Did you know that
- Between 2001 and 2007 40,000 jobs became inaccessible by transit because of service cuts?
- The Milwaukee County Transit System has no dedicated funding and is the last major transit system in the nation to be funded by property taxes?
Us, the riders of the bus system, can organize to fight for solutions to Milwaukee County’s transit problems and establish modern, efficient, safe, clean and just transit service in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Transit Riders Union has been working for better transit in Milwaukee since 2007.
How can I get involved?
- Join our fight for better, more affordable transit
- Volunteer with us and help our campaigns.
- Come to meetings and be part of our decision-making process
